Difference between Broadband and LAN

Ø  Broadband connection is your ISP service like cable or DSL. 

Ø  Local area connection is related to your ethernet cable and your (LAN) local area network, if you have one.

In other words, Local area connection is more a physical connection while broadband is a logical connection.
